What is the Sugar Production in Maharashtra?

Previous season was also stretched till the first half of June as some 140 sugar factories had crushed 614.27 lakh tonne sugarcane and produced 70.92 lakh tonne sugar. But, the sugar recovery rate with 11.55 per cent per tonne was better than this year. 

The state has so far crushed 800.67 lakh tonne sugarcane and produced 90.29 lakh tonne sugar with an average recovery rate of 11.28 per cent. Out of 164 sugar factories that undertook crushing activity, only six are crushing sugarcane from Satara and Solapur districts
